How did Open Hand begin?
We love houses and we’ve lived in a lot of them. Therefore, we know a thing or two about how to make the best with what we’ve been given. In 2009, the economy tanked leaving us unemployed with a small toddler and another one on the way. The home building industry was no longer hiring. Therefore after many months of searching, we decided to begin our own company. The name has changed many times, but the vision of building something great for others has always remained the same. This vision of helping others love their homes through renovation + design, has blessed our family in many ways over the years.
Wade has a B.S. Construction Technology, Drafting, and Design Degree as well as 18 years of Home Building Experience. He knows construction and assures that every project is given the same passion and intensity, from big to small. He has an eye for detail and enjoys the completed project. His integrity wins the hearts of every subcontractor he meets and it is why so many of his clients refer him to their friends. Wade works full-time for a reputable Tampa Bay Homebuilder. During his free time, he enjoys working his side hustle, alongside his wife Tiffany, with Open Hand.
Tiffany has an eye for design and found her passion for “all things home” after her experience working as a Sales Representative for a large Home Builder in Charlotte, North Carolina. This passion became how she survived a down economy where their need for work in the homebuilding industry, moved them from place to place with varying incomes and a growing family. Designing on a budget eventually turned into a small business of redoing furniture and custom cabinetry. She loves to be a part of the initial consults and renovation designs of Open Hand. She knows that every project, great or small, matters in creating a home that you love.
